Yahoo updates it’s Image Search, Partners with Getty Images for scenic photos

Yahoo has announced its partnership with leading professional stock photography agency, Getty Images, recently with intention to update it’s Image Search with scenic photos of destinations . Now on, users will be able to view high quality photos for places or destinations they search for in Yahoo Search which includes photos from award winning photographers around the world.

yahoo-updates-its-image-search-partners-with-getty-images-for-scenic-photosYahoo Search’s Product Director, Girish Krishnan stated that “This partnership allows us to display high-quality photos from award-winning photographers.” Accordingly, users shall have to hover over the photo thumbnails that shows up while search for images view the details about the photo as well as there is a provision to view it in full screen when clicked on the upper left hand corner. Yahoo has been working hard to enhance its user experience for its products and this announcement comes as a part of a series of many other changes Yahoo had formulated lately. Yahoo had added added Creative Commons Flickr results recently as well as rebuilt its search engine.

According to the company’s statement, the current changes will reflect only to users in the US as of now but Yahoo plans to opt for a global launch of the same in future.
