For all who likes to remain in dark over the world wide web and has always taken privacy a bit more seriously since the evolution of internet surveillance programs, search engines like DuckDuckGo has found a place in the search engine sphere dominated by big names in the list like Google and Microsoft. Well it might not be a news to cheer about for most of the search engine firms, but DuckDuckGo has toppled the charts for the month of July with a staggering 100 million+ searches made around the world.
DuckDuckGo, which came to lime light soon after news of internet surveillance rocked the news, helps users in making searches in internet without saving any personal data. The search engine has expressed the grand success by a tweet recently. Just to make it sound whammy, Google, the largest search engine by users, makes 5 billion searches on a daily basis. Although the number exceeds DuckDuckGo’s search count, it is really a matter of concern as the search engine has proven that users have really started showing concerns about web security and privacy over internet.
