Tweak alert: Now retrieve your contact list from Google Search

Going through your scroll-long contact list has never been the most fruitful way in finding any of your friends, either be it in your phone or from Gmail. But now on Google has brought an end to such pain staking practices. In a latest development, the tech giant has tweaked its search engine yet again. If the user has signed to Google Search field trial, he or she will be able to view any contact information searched for in from the search engine results page (SERP) itself provided that the contact is present in the user’s contact list.

Google had integrated shipping and flight results as well to its search engine previously. Expanding its portfolio, Google has integrated the contacts as well pulling the information from Gmail, meaning that user will be able to poll for contact numbers, addresses and much more available options through the search box. The implementation is in beta stage as reported by sources but Google has kept its social networking portal, Google +, in its pipeline for future field results.

Google Search field trial can be signed up from this link and the good news is that Google has also integrated voice search to it, which could be a boon for people searching for someone while driving as well as keeping eyes on traffic.
