Google is testing its new search layout interface, the new look has not gone public, but only for some users. The new look is with a new Google logo, colorful shiny blue buttons and a permanently featured sidebar, something similar (tell me if I am wrong?) to Bing. The sidebar allows to narrow down the search to News, Blogs, Images, Shopping, Video, Maps etc.
If you want to try the new search look for yourself Blogoscoped has published a Javascript trick. Go to Google.com and then paste the following javascript code in the address bar of the browser and hit enter:
javascript:void(document.cookie=”PREF=ID=20b6e4c2f44943bb:U=4bf292d46faad806:TM=1249677602:LM=1257919388:S=odm0Ys-53ZueXfZG;path=/; domain=.google.com”);
Now reload the page (Crtl+F5) you will see the new Google.com look with colored buttons. If it doesn’t work you may need to logout of Google and try again.
