In a step to prevent “spammy queries” made in its Search Engine, Google has officially launched a new search update recently to defend spam searching queries such as payday loan, pornographic queries and many other such spam filled queries. This was made official by Matt Cutts, Google’s head of search spam.
“We just started a new ranking update today for some spammy queries.” as twitted by Matt. He also added that the same has been applicable after singular couple schemes for queries, many of those which are
illegal. The update has been made available globally to all the users affecting 0.3% of the US queries but as high as 4% for Turkish queries where web spam has generally a very high rate.
Although queries that are more likely to have spam content in nature were somewhat less likely to be the prime target for Google’s search spam team, the company hinted in taking the matter more seriously in future. Matt Cutts even hinted that the tweaking was a part of the initiative taken by Google as per requests made by sources from outside Google and thus Google wanted to address the concerns with these types of queries.
Matt Cutts also posted a video wherein he talked about upcoming Google SEO changes.
