It’s been a long time since Google has paid some attention to Google Voice. But now, it seems that is gonna change soon. Thanks to a banner displayed accidently, it seems that Google Voice may soon be getting some serious modifications.
Recently, those users who had visited their Google Voice inbox have seen a banner at the top which says- “The new Google Voice is here. Try now.” Unfortunately, clicking on it doesn’t do anything in reality, just refreshes the user’s inbox. The banner has now been taken down; Although, after the publication reached out to Google for comment, they reply with a ‘yes’.
Here is what a spokesperson for Google said in this matter:
Sorry, it looks like we must have dialed the wrong number! But don’t worry, this wasn’t a prank call. We’re working on some updates to Google Voice right now. We have you on speed dial and we’ll be sure to share what we’ve been up to just as soon as we can.
In case if you don’t know about Google Voice, it was launched in 2009 and gives a free phone number to its US users, other than this, it also provides cheap international calls for everyone else. It supports many features like PC-to-PC calls worldwide, voicemail etc.
