Google outage in India, web traffic crashes hard to 40 %

Google’s services were seen disrupted in India on Saturday with 502 error being returned from the server every time. The rare outage was noticed in the wee morning hours and all Google apps were inaccessible for a handful of minutes. The outage has petrified the web service fraternity with page viewing going down by a wholesome of 40 percent. The outage also led to a flurry of tweets made by various users facing the same.

The service monitor dashboard showed clear signs of outage with a pink dot showing in all services from Google clear;y stating the existence of outage. Google engineers however worked on the same and was able to restore services within a few minutes. Although the duration of outage was not clearly mentioned, the rough figure stood at 10 minutes.

This is not the first time that Google services were ousted in India and with the company growing bigger in developing markets like India, it might not be a very good news for the search engine jargon.
