With high rise in mobility device users and sales of Android devices reaching sky high, Google has gone monopolistic in the world of mobile ads. It is predicted that Google will sell more mobile advertisements than its arch rivals combined, yes that’s true, greater than the combined revenue of all its rivals for the second consecutive year. As suggested by a report, Google has grown a lot in money making starting from its search engine to manufacturing mobility devices and personal computers.
As predicted by eMarketer, Google will cross nearly $8.9 billion just in mobile ad revenue this year on a global scale. The company has been pushing hard on mobile ads and if the projection pans out, Google will hold a market share of 56 percent, which is expected to grow to $16 billion worldwide. In 2012, the search engine firm announced that mobile ads had added $4.6 billion to their cash pile accounting to 52% of the mobile ad market.
Facebook is another key game changer in mobile ad market as majority of its users are into mobile,as announced by the company earlier, although, it is expected to be ranked at a distant second position in mobile advertising with about $2 billion in revenue generation from mobile.
