Soon after its rivals shredded their old skin, Google has also finally followed the league by announcing a new logo for the search engine giant. The development came into being recently even though Google had refused the same initially. Although the new logo is just a slight make over from its existing one, Google has made it public in its official blog.
The new Google logo has been flattened into the screen and does away with the embossment and shadows although the classy badge colors are still intact in the new shady logo. The Catull letter font has also been retained by Google in the new logo like the older one. In the blog post by Eddie Kessler, lead tech manager at Google, he stated that Google has “refined the color palette and letter shapes of the Google logo." He also added that the new logo rolls out across other Google products in the upcoming weeks. The new tweak into the famous logo comes after May of 2010 when Google had upgraded its logo into a lighter, brighter and simpler logo.
Its spring time for all the top heads in web space as companies continue to renew their look and feel including icons on their homepage.
