Free calling to the US and Canada now possible from desktop Gmail



Yes that’s true ! Google has brought back the most distinctive feature back to its mail service, Gmail. Now on users will be able to make phone calls from desktop Gmail as well as from it’s social networking Google+ and Chrome extension to any numbers from the US and Canada. Much to users’ delight, the voice calls will be rendered free of cost. Google has stated that this feature will be available for countries where Hangout calling is possible.

The feature from Google had disappeared from the company’s service list after its new Hangout setup introduction. The company’s official blog revealing the news has claimed that the new facility is much better than it was earlier with much more enhancements which the company has added lately. Google has rated its Hangout feature as the future of Google Voice with making and receiving call services as just the beginning of development. Google has made it clear that users will be able to enjoy new premium features like adding multiple phone numbers, adding video participants to the same voice call as well as using sound effects from the Google Effects app. To avail the new service, current Hangout users will be able to glance a phone icon in Gmail or a “call a phone” menu item in Google+ as well as the Chrome extension.

The new addition of calling service from the search engine jargon is definitely going to be well accepted by its users.
