Days after Yahoo invited its dormant mail service, Yahoo! Mail, users with a stupendous mail reminding about the new changes in the portal, the internet giant has stretched its wings further in its offerings. Yahoo on Friday added Flickr integration into Yahoo! mail as well as mailer notification for Yahoo search results for images and videos. For your information, the mail notification service is available for Google Search.
Flickr, the photo sharing service acquired by Yahoo’s new CEO Marissa Mayer, has been integrated to Yahoo mail, meaning that it will be easier for users now on to send individual photos and sets from their Flickr accounts. Clicking on “Share on Flickr” will eventually lead to share the picture in the photo sharing site.
Yahoo has been on a shopping spree recently with acquiring a handful of start-up ventures to pep up its services. For Yahoo users, they will also be able to set up alerts for keywords for a web search, either is it an image or a video search. The user will be intimated with a mail alert to be sent to the respective Yahoo mail showing up the search results. Although company sources has confirmed that new feature is available to users from the US as of now, launching it globally is in pipeline as depicted by Yahoo.
