Microsoft is on a roll now in rebranding and renaming its services, it started with Windows live and now its Advertising platform Adcenter. According to Microsoft, Adcenter is now called simply Bing Ads as well as the Bing and Yahoo search alliance is called simply Yahoo Bing Network. Microsoft initially posted the announcement here but retracted it later on and the post is now posted on a new Yahoo Bing Network blog. According to the blog, “Yahoo! Bing Network” is the new official name for combined search marketplace and it is powered by Bing Ads Platform. The old Adcenter link https://adcenter.microsoft.com/ is now being redirected to new Bing Ads landing page: https://secure.bingads.microsoft.com/ .
According to Microsoft’s Tina Kelleher:
Bing Ads is not only a new name, but an improved experience with new features to help you better manage your campaigns and complete tasks faster. Recent improvements include: a new web interface, improved ad rotation controls, and agency enablement tools that make it easier for agencies to manage multiple accounts.
Bing Ads is now the platform to target the Yahoo! Bing Network. According to Microsoft:
Yahoo! Bing Network is comprised of 151 million unique searchers in the U.S. who are likely to spend 24% more than the average searcher, and likely to spend 5% more than Google searchers in the U.S.
In addition to Yahoo! and Microsoft Core Search sites, the Yahoo! Bing Network represents partner sites like Facebook, Amazon, Monster, WebMD, CNBC, and Viacom, plus networks like The Wall Street Journal Digital Network.
