Google has released a report on mobile research study and has concluded that 88% of ad clicks made from mobile search are incremental to organic clicks. Thus running mobile ads in Adwords is no longer a fret business as the paid clicks are not replaced by organic clicks when search ads are paused. The study was done from March 2012 to April 2013.
Tested on more than 300 United States Adwords accounts across 12 verticals, Google has concluded with a note that the results in verticals range from 82 percent incremental clicks in general service industry to 97 percent in the classified ad vertical. Google’s conclusion came as a reassurance to those advertisers who are anxious about the impending enhanced campaigns upgrade deadline. As per Andy Miller, Google’s Head of Global Mobile Search Solution, “By upgrading to enhanced campaigns, advertisers can effectively reach consumers using mobile devices based on contextual signals like their location and time of day." Google has definitely brought a glittering face to advertisers who are looking for traffic into their websites as well as encouraged them to maximize mobile presence in their Adwords account.
Although Google didn’t give any hint about the quality of traffic driven from mobile in the four paged report, advertisers will definitely look forward to mobile ads for their business.
